Dodge/Ruger?

Years back I read in one of the gun mags that Ford guys preferred Winchester's and Chevrolet guys were inclined towards Remington firearms. The author quipped that Dodge guys probably would be Ruger fans, and I can say I probably fit this profile, however, my favorite rifle has always been my Browning A-bolt.

How about you guys that shoot?

I would say I fall in the Ruger category, but then again I can say I've owned just about every brand out there at one time or another.

Colt / Smith & Wesson / Springfield Armory / Ruger / EIG / Taurus / Mossburg / Remington / Winchester / Beretta .....so far.

A Marlin in 38 / 357 is next on the 'gotta have' list.

It's just making sure you have the correct tool for the job at hand.

In my collection of many brands, 4 are Rugers. Two 10/22 rifles (one for my son, and one for my stepson), one P-90 .45 ACP, and one Super Blackhawk .44 mag.

You forgot Mauser, US Arms, Dan Wesson, and JC Higgins.....

I may love my 97, but with Guns, I am a definite Heinz 57.

In several states I'd have to have a collectors license.

Yeah, I've got a lot of different makes too!

IIRC it was a truck test article in the American Rifleman about ten years ago. They used to be pretty Chevy leaning back then, lotsa ads.

In my opinion Bill Ruger picked up where John Browning left off, some of his early auto pistols were pretty chunky though.
Ruger revolvers have always been top shelf for me.

I don't, but should! I do remember the Lil' Red Wagon. There were probably 3-4 in my town.

I do remember giving the Bank of Boulder 1200 bucks for 7 years and getting a Weatherby rifle right away and my money back.

That's a nice Marlin. You may want to consider a ghost ring rear sight. I like the one I put on the old 336SC.
