Did I hear that right?

I listen to KERN AM radio out of Bakersfield, Ca on the computer. Just now I heard on the 19:00 Central Time news that Cali is looking at getting all pre 07 diesels off the road by 2014...anybody in California, is that really on the table?

I leave my truck parked in Vacaville during the winter and have a few friends in the area with diesels. They havent heard a thing about it (yet).

Wow, replacing the engines of over 600 ferries and tugboats is gonna cost some major money. Those engines are huge and expensive.

Not quite . The trucks will have to meet 2007 emission regulations . http://www.pe.com/localnews/inland/s...2.3ce2520.html
Most owners will probably decide retrofitting is not worth the expense . Similar regulations for off road equipment will really hurt the construction indusry .
