I use Turtle Wax Zip Wash to wash mine and Turtle Wax to wax it. The truck looks awesome. The wash helps keep the wax on there and helps the water to keep beading up. I wax mine bout once a month. I've been meaning to get the Clay Bar and do the whole truck but I keep forgetting. I have a problem though. Everytime I wax the truck, doesn't matter what brand of wax, the wax is dang near impossible to take off. It stays in the paint and takes forever to take off. Does the same on the vette. It makes no difference how long it dries. It sticks to it and does not want to come off. It acts as if it isn't dry enough. But even if I let it dry for like an hour, it is still hard to get off. It swirls the paint pretty badly. But once it comes off, there is no other shine like it. Maybe it's just the dark color. Who knows.

I've always like Meguiars. Seems to last decent and leaves a really good shine. That new stuff "Gold Class" was real easy to work and brought the paint up good. I've heard really good things about Zymol, but never used it. Any thoughts?

Jamies right about the clay bar. That stuff will get all the oxidation off. It even takes off overspray and tree sap.<br><br>I also use the new Rain-x wax, and Mothers Cleaner wax when needed.<br><br>I spray Armorall on the tires and fender wells then come back with Mothers detailing spray and get off all the overspray. Stoners on the glass.

Any thoughts?<br>[/quote]<br><br>Zymol is a really good wax, I use it on my cars and the truck. Be prepared to take your time, it's like removing dried mud from the paint. Once it's off make sure to buff the paint to even the residue left behind.

You guys are starting to make me feel bad. My truck gets washed once and a while, but the wife still complains when she gets in it. I REALLY need to find some more time.<br>Ed

I think the Jamie Attridge process is the "real deal" if you want a superior finish. But if, like me, you're pressed for time and can only do this every six months or so, I reccomend Liquid Glass. It is easy, fast, actually seems to afford some protection, and looks great after a quickie from the occasional brushless auto washer.<br><br>

I've used Liquid Glass for 13 years now, and swear by it. All of the elbow grease is during the application. The removal of the haze is easy provided it's applied per the instructions. An overy thick application can be a bear to remove.

The clay bars are part of a detailing package now offered by several major wax outfits - haven't particularly paid attention lately, so can't name names - so just carefully check out your local Kragen or similar automotive store...
Tips on use of the bar, keep it properly lubricated - water works, but I like to use Meguiars spray detailer for lubricant - as you use the bar, keep turning and kneading it to expose a new clean surface, and DO NOT drop it - it will become contaminated with dirt and grit, and potentialy scratch your paint seriously!

Use the clay bar the way mothers discribes and follow the directions. U can use it on windows to. My way of waxing makes a killer shine if you have the time. I also like to use the griots garage wax thats really good stuff.

I doubt you'll find any real difference between ANY of them - check out the "wax test" section in the pointer in my sig - I did a pretty detailed test between Zaino, PerfeXshine and Meguairs Gold Class - not a dimes worth of difference in dust rejection between any of them...
