DEER HUNTING

OK, it's a little slow, so I'll start a topic. Anybody get a deer yet? I haven't bow hunted since my accident, but our gun opener is Friday. I'll be out there with my baby, a 1949, 30-06 Winchester/ 1960 Weaver 2.5x9, Federal premium 160 grain, with 1909 Colt .45 S/A Army/ Stag grips on the side.
;D ;D ;D

Re:DEER HUNTING

Rut is in here in Eastern NC. Due to work, school, and the "when are you gonna get around to doing that?" list I haven't been out in the woods near as much as I want. The few times I have been I haven't seen anything :'( . But I am going tomorrow - temps have dropped and it is going to be clear with light winds.

I think they know that I am lookng for meat now and will drop the biggest one that comes to me. Seems like in the past when I was hunting alot and being choosy they could sense that and does and fawns would show up just to amuse me.

With all of the ones I see hit on the road you would think that they would be easy to find in the woods. Oh well, that's hunting. Can't do any good if you're home in bed (huntin', that is).
