Re:DEER

So was this deer in mid air when it hit the truck? There is absolutely no damage to the front of the vehicle. That is very weird.

Re:DEER

I saw this yesterday on another site. I guess what happend was the deer was on an overpass and was spooked by a passing car and jumped off the overpass directly onto the dodge. Talk about a mess in your shorts!!! I cant even imagine what the guy driving this thing thought when this happened!! Can you imagine just tooling down the highway minding your own business when out of the blue you have a 200 lb deer sittin in your lap? Im sure a change of shorts was in order for this guy!

It'd be a heck of a jump for that deer--the six foot fence plus the height of the barrier wall....I don't know how high a deer can jump, but it seems a little far fetched. I can see the deer trying to jump the road, or heck, even the approaching car, and then smashing into the Durango, but I don't know about the overpass story...but it does add some flare!

Re:DEER

Maybe it's a reindeer....they CAN fly you know. This doesn't leave Santa very long to find a replacement...

Re:DEER

I have seen a deer clear an 8' fence and not even slow down for it. Those things have springs in their legs! I even saw one on a guys roof one time. They really can jump high!

Re:DEER

I've seen a herd of them, at least 15, just going back and forth over the 8 foot fences put on the side of the highway to keep them off the highway.
Didn't even need a running start.

I think they were originally 6 foot fences, but as those were too short, a 2 foot extension was put on them, evidenced by the different colors of chainlink.

phox

Runs those penguins off the road miles before you get to them! ;D
I'm guessing here, but would that sound be like combining a shop-vac and a wood chipper.
