Dealer invoice
Dealer invoice
How does one find out what a dealer's actual new vehicle cost is? Is it possible?
The reason I ask is because my wife and I are looking to replace her 2001 F-150 SuperCrew.
Thanks for any info.

About two years ago my brother was buying. He signed up with Consumer Reports online and was able to get dealer invoice prices and such for the Escape he bought. He said it saved him lots of money and was well worth the subscription price ($6 bucks for one month).
Its $19 bucks for a year if you already get their magazine.
Here is a link to another service they sell.

You can buitd the vehicle on either www.kbb.com or www.nada.com .On NADA you can use the manufacturer's codes if you see a vehicle on the lot. Either site will give invoice and MSRP. I used NADA to build my F350, printed the sheetsout took it to the dealer and told him to build this. Keith
You can get it online free and try what I did. I was looking at a vehicle and told the salesman I wanted to see the invoice so I could make and offer and they showed me it. I shortly after bought the truck at a good price. Besides incentives they get each month and end of year they need to move vehicles even at cost for some and they still make $, also at end of year how many vehicles they move decides how many the manufacturer will alot them for the next year. A few bills over invoice can get you a vehicle unless it high demand low supply. Also at end of year they don't want to be stuck with leftovers.
