Dan Rather Strikes Again!

Dan Rather on the news tonight stated "Another American hostage was EXECUTED today". Of all the words in the English lauguage he discribes the beheading and MUTILATION of an American with his hands tied behind his back as an EXECUTION?

What was tha Alamo to Dan Rather... "a misguilded Mexican visit?"
What was 9/11 to Dan Rather............ "a visit by new pilots?"
Adolph Hilter according to Dan Rather. "a well meaning German patriot?"

These barbaric butchers MURDERED an AMERICAN CIVILIAN while he was in the country to fix the water system. A human being was MUTILATED with his hands behind his back, by having his head sawed off. His family suffered, he suffered, and we sit by and listen to Dan Rather call it an exicution? THIS AMERICAN WAS BUTCHERED!

The cities of Falugia and Najifa need to be leveled and all people in them killed if one more person is BUTCHERED in this manner.

Remember 9/11.

I heard the same term on public radio today, several times. I also heard a report that beheading is an "acceptible means of retaliation in the arab world", thereby supposedly justifiable under our "occupation" that resistance of this kind is being seen. What a load of garbage. Beheading civilians is not acceptable under any religion, code of war, or country constituion. It is barabarism, hate, malice, cruelty, and flagrant disregard for basic human dignity, civil rights, and human goodness! The sooner the perpetrators are caught and treated to the same as they dish out, the better.

Another thing that amazes me is where is the OUTRAGE from the muslim clerics, community leaders, ect. Not one person in the Islamic world has stood up and said that BUTCHERING a human being and HUMAN SACRAFICES are wrong for their religion.

Yes,

These Muslim's say that that is not what their "religion" teaches, but as you said they do nothing!! That is because they teach hate in their mosques in our own country.

I have never been to a mosque in the US, so I can not agree or disagree with that statement. I will say that I know several muslims in the midwest, and all are very patriotic, work hard in their communities, and are honored to be called my friends. It is beyond my comprehension that such teachings are happening here as abroad. I recommend a little more candor when tempted to make a broad generalization such as that. Just my $.02.

I have strong feelings about what has been reported. Again, I heard and read that the reason the Muslim clerics are not denouncing such acts is because of the Arab acceptance of such outlandish techniques. I am further dismayed to hear that one female prisoner will be released. The Iraqi government claims it is not related, but regardless it gives the appearance of caving to the terrorists' demands. The reporter gave the grave suggestion that this may further prompt more kidnappings, since they seem to work. The good of the one is being sacrificed over the many. Not a good attitude in a combat situation.

Since when are human sacrafices acceptable in any country, situation, religion? If that is acceptable to anyone they must be destroyed like a rabid dog.

These fanatics are animals that must be destroyed at all cost.

Well I don't see anything wrong with Dan's choice of words, if they were in fact his choice of words, everyone knows what happened and the result is the same. I don't think any reporter needs to be using words like BUTCHERED. Think if Jack Hensley's or Eugene Armstrong's grief stricken family or friends tuned in, I think executed is a little easier on the ears.

I've been saying for quite sometime now - mostly to the TV screen, which infuriatingly doesn't answer back - that our media is helping these thugs by giving them credence as terrorists.

They are not. They are simple murderers who do it for the thrills they are getting out of it. They are not terrorists. They are not Muslim crusaders. They are not "Freedom Fighters" or "Resistance Fighters", they are simply criminals and cowards. Why the press doesn't call them this, I don't know; not even the conservative press will make this step. Guess it sells more ads to report on terrorists and "the resistance" than stupid, cowardly criminals.

I disagree with bombing the entire cities. While the citizens there should revolt against the criminals, they won't. As for the clerics who deem themselves rebel leaders, I think we should tell them, "you have 24 hours to get out of that Mosque. If you do not, in 24 hours and one second, it is no longer a Mosque, but a headquarters for armed resistance and we will treat it as such. By 24 hours and 1 minute, it will no longer exist." Do that a couple of times and the population will take issue with those stupid clerics, won't they?

The generals on the ground said tonight that giving up Falujia was a mistake. "We have tried to be diplomatic with these animals and that was a mistake."

After the election we should end the insanity of allowing a sanctuary for the enemy to mass troups, weapons, and launch attacks. Did we not learn anything from Viet Nam?
