Talking Dad's new (old) car

heres a pic of dads new car

'56 chevy 2 door sedan bel air. Very slick ride. has a new rebuilt 396 big block hooked to a 4 speed rock crusher. Total frame off restoration. Every nut, bolt, etc. etc. etc. is brand spankin new. All chrome has been re-plated, and this thing drives like mom's caddy. The interior is very nice. Ice cold a/c, power steering, power disk brakes, power seats, wing window has been deleted. VERY straight body. origional miles on car - 50,000. No rust, southern car. The drive train has less than 400 since resto completed. Friend of the family had it. He is a great car builder, we watched him build it from the ground up over the last two years. Didn't plan on buying it, but he made dad an offer that he couldn't refuse so its in the garage now

That is one sweet ride! My first car was a "57". My brother had 3 "56's". Oh the back seats are SOOOOO big! You can get in a lot of trouble back there with the girl next door.

Nice, two 57's and a 56. Only thing is, Grampa's '57 has a better stance than dads '56. The '56 needs to be dumped in front a couple of inch's or so. Give it a good rake. Nice rig's though.

P.S. What is wrong with the rear bed on the '57 truck? Look's kinda out of place.
