Queensland residents have been told it is now too late to escape as the most dangerous storm ever predicted to hit the state makes its approach.

Been following this storm pretty closely. My youngest sister lives near Darwin, but her son and son in law had to go to Cairns on business two weeks ago and had their flights canceled to get out. They are now stuck in Cairns and have to ride out the worst storm ever to hit Australia. My sister is keeping me updated on conditions there.

Mother Nature sure has become angry this past year.
I hope they fair ok with this storm.
If one looks at the effects of weather around the planet...it gets a bit hard to believe.
