Man, ain't that lightning fun. I make part of my living trying to defend against that, but the 5-10 mile top of the cloud ground strike is so strong and fast it does wierd things, like set up radio frequency standing waves on anything electrical. Anything near one of the resonance nodes blows up like a hand grenade.

Hey Hat - - how do feel about recruiters???? ......

Just back from dentist for cleaning. Wow, he just keeps going up in his price - - guess his 45' motorhome is not long enough. GGGRRRR - - think I need to find a new one - - he is never there anymore - - all the work is done by the peasants.
Off for lunch with friends - - have a gudurn - - you to Heidi. And Shorts, get up off the floor and grow up - - quit crawling around with the boys. ....
.....
Bob
A shambles I tell you...a total SHAMBLES in here.
Bobby BOBBY BOBBY!!!
If yer back is pooched you gotta call in some back up to keep this place clean and presentable. Stop puttin the Depends on the ceiling fan to dry!
OK, I just set out some chicken fried steak along with some white gravy, shredded hash browns and eggs for the late breakfast folks. All the juices are fresh squeezed and chilled.
The lunch/supper menu consists of slow smoked beef ribs, smoked salmon, ny steak charbroiled, steamed veggies, rice and a baked potato bar.
Soup and salad bar is by the pool table.
Dessert came from the Tim Hortons where all the RCMP where undulging.

I didn't know you were set to deploy! That's kinda what you've wanted to do, isn't it?
Not being my usual sarcastic self here; why is it so undesirable & stressful?
That's the one we went to I think. I looked at all the International dealers on International's dealer locator and that was the closest one listed at least. Had I Google Mapped it instead of following the parts guys directions, I'd have been there in about 15 minutes. I'm sure he was thinking, "Watch this" when he gave me the directions!
I'd PAY to see that!

friends are having those 'everything is breaking down' weeks. did a few fixes, parts store. finishing up the 81 suzuki rebuild for the second "son" to pick up this weekend, lotsa making parts to fit. parts store. had to go shopping for our tenant and decided to, you know- go to the parts store for a can of gloss paint to put on the polished steel.
that store owner and Bob's dentist must be related....

Shorts, no margaritas. just hubby and stars...ahhhhhhh.
gotta pour concrete and build two porches this memorial Day, but it is for a vet. he is feeding us
pain is good.

I started on margaritas early. After the antics of the last couple of days, my body is beatup and tired. Visited my girlfriend for a little while this afternoon. Hopefully I can get settled down an the world goes right.
Got a pallet of egg rock coming in the morning. Getting those flower beds taken care of. Should have been finished Sunday but the driver never showed to work.

Seems like it ought to be a blonde joke in there somewhere..... And we're walking, we're walking.
I'm looking for a couple videos that might help a little.
I know the hours and the stress over the "numbers" really suck but you have the opportunity to be the first honest recruiter out there. I've yet to meet one of those.
Evening all. Two days and a wake up.

Recruiting duty is about numbers. You have to get a certain number of a certain applicant... Say I have three high schools in the area I work. I have a quota of three contracts (shipping to bootcamp) a month. But, they have to be in good standing with school, the law, and smart enough to do whatever job that the Corps needs at that moment. Basically, a prime individual, not some drooling moron. That kid does not want to be a Marine, but I have to make him want to be a Marine. If I don't, it's my career. My boss is going to ride me to get that number, because it's his career too. It's actually a lot deeper than that, believe it or not.
Evenin.
Got to do the Humvee trainer today... they put us in a mock humvee and roll us around a few times, then make us get out upside down or sideways with some gear on... good times. I actually enjoyed it.

Nice slinky video. Feel like that sometimes myself.
Spring/summer weather is upon us here, with some sun, some rain. Beats the 8" of snow we got last week. Steadily warm, I can live with that.
For the 5th time in my recorded history, I had a propane blow off / fire happen this evening. Involved a bad hose from the tank to the BBQ. Wonderful stuff all in all. Got the hose out, knocked it down enough to shut it off. Then wondered WTH happened to the "regulator" which is supposed to control pressure, and to some extent flow. This one had the hose rupture, and was giving me full flow, as though the valve was wide open. Not a big deal, but enough to make one wonder, who, who wrote the book of love...
Oh well, you aren't having fun unless you're fully involved.
Beyond that, summer work has caught up, still working on the next service truck, call it service truck 4.0. Updates are slow at the moment, but it is coming along.
Have fun out there people, be safe, be sane, be happy.

Haaaa! Between IE, Windows and Apple updates, MSE MWB's and all the other stuff--it looks like my confuser will take about 12 hours to get updated. Sounds like a good nap to me!!
