Wasn't Madison the place that had 50,000 Gore voters register in the last couple days of the 2000 election? Next to Massachussets, Wisconsin has to be one of the most liberal states going.

He's preaching to the choir up there.

I have guns; I don't carry (illegal in my state). I've had had the notion to do this a couple times, but then thought, "If I need to take a gun, do I really need to go there?" The answer so far has always been no. If the answer ever turns out to be 'yes', then I'll carry what I need, concealed carry law or not.

It's the same ole thing just in a different box. Up on the hill there in D.C. it's O.K. to have a different pension plan and health care plan and don't pay the social security tax. and they can like, carry and use gun's as they see fit. Now what is it that we don't get about that. After all they are smarter and should have more privlages than you and I. I do not carry a concealed weapon, but because some of you do I am at least slightly safer because the bad guy has to ask himself
does he or dosen't he only the local gun board knows for sure

Mr. Clark is a fruit-loop, he got fired as "the supreme commander" and is just po'ed. I carry my 45 everywhere I go, that it's legal to carry, sometimes even if it ain't. Let him or anyone else come try and take my gun or is it GUNS , I'd REALLY like to have a street sweeper to keep with me while at the shop , but have been told I need to get a FFL. My permit is unrestricted, so I'm able to carry any legal hand gun, even if I get stopped, my gun #'s are not tied to the permit, so I think the feds are the only ones who know what guns I have bought thru dealers, but down here, you can buy a gun from a nieghbor, and it won't show up on you, just the original purchaser. Just don't get caught with a hot gun, or you go bye bye, and don't drop the soap

The Liberal government here has implemented a billion dollar waste called a gun registry. A columnist from the Toronto Sun wrote a very good piece a couple of weeks ago dealing with gun control. There was a striking quote from David Horowitz:

"In the fantasy world, guns cause violence and laws are obeyed. In the real world, individuals pull the triggers and it's they who cause violence ... Gun control is really about controlling law-abiding citizens ... (of) disarming law-abiding citizens in the face of those who would do them harm."
You can read the article here.

I’d like to nominate Top for president. But then again DC would run him out in 30 days. He would make too much sense.

NRA had an article about Virginias $1 1/2 billion gun "fingerprint" program. They have to test fire all new guns prior to sale to obtain a bullet sample. They say since 2000 they have tied 3 guns to crimes that were solved prior to the match. Not a single crime has been solved due to a match. I'mm all for new technology and crime solving, but I think they should suspend the program with this performance. If they're like us, the money would be better spent putting more officers on the road.

Maryland was trying to start a "Ballistic Fingerprint" program.
The info about Virginia is news to me.

But on the brighter side of things for some of us...

"In a surpisingly short period of time this morning, the state senate
overrode Governor Doyle's veto of the Personal Protection Act concealed
carry bill by a margin of....."

now if the State Assembly will get off thier dead %*^$"s and follow through with the override...........

About dang time!
