'World's fastest' supercar planned at million bucks a pop

Detroit, Michigan - DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group is leaning towards producing the ME Four-Twelve "supercar" that it showed as a concept earlier this year, according to the Detroit News.
"Its more likely than not," Chrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche said.
A decision is expected before the end of the year, according to Zetsche, who added that Chrysler would contract out the production of the 640kW car
Top speed? Projected as close to 400km/h

The ME Four-Twelve, a sports car similar to the Dodge Viper, has been touted as the fastest street car in the world with a projected performance of 0-100km/h in less than three seconds and a top speed close to 400km/h.
Zetsche said two business plans were being considered: making just seven units a year for a million dollars a pop or dropping the prices and making 1 000 units.
The car was shown as a concept at the Detroit auto show in January. -
