chevelle restoration help needed!!!

ive been helping with the restoration of a 1972 chevelle, rs rag top. We cant seeem to find the molding that go on the verytop of the windshield. This is where the top sits and is covering metal. During this restoration project we have had someone throwqing away parts . we have ordered so much stuff for this car its depressing. also we need a hardware kit for the top mounting brackets and lift pistons. Any ideas on where to get these parts or even the name of them help would be loved!!!
Thanks,
John

Top windshield molding, and you might try junkyards believe it or not. I'm not sure, but it's possible that the other gm a bodies (buick skylark, olds cutlass, pontiac lemans) may have had the same molding. If not, then try places like year one.

Try Classic Enterprises. They have just about every body piece for the classics. That's where I got some of my parts for my old '72 Chevy C10.
