To The Chem. Lab Staff
I have come into possession of some stuff.Stuff consisting of "polybutane Oil" and some"polyglycol E-600" oil.Since I flunked 3rd.grade chemistry, can any of you lab rats tell me(1) do I have diesel fuel or,(2) do I call the bom* disposal squad?

Specific Applications
Uses of polyglycols in oil and gas industry applications include:
• acid gas treatment
• crude oil demulsifiers
• decolorizers for distillate-type fuel oils
• drilling fluid additives
• fire-resistant hydraulic fluids
• fuel additives
• metal corrosion inhibitors in oil wells producing brine that contains hydrogen sulfide or carbon dioxide
• modifiers for silica-filled petroleum asphalt to improve softening points, temperature susceptibility, and high resistance to flow
• selective solvents for removing halogens from hydrocarbons

mcolman, thx for the response. Now,as near as I can figure I have about 19,200 applications of diesel injector cleaner.Hmmm,if I buy a bunch of plastic bottles, add some of this stuff, then I could.......nah I guess I'll just burn it in the 5.9 a little at a time.
