Careflite crash

This afternoon we lost 2 of my Careflite family when one of our helicopters went down near Midlothian, Tx. They are investigating the crash at this time so no official word on what caused the crash, however we lost a aircraft mechanic and a chief pilot in the crash. They were out on a test flight after doing some maintnance on the aircraft. This particular helicopter did not yet have our colors on it as it was a fairly recent acquisition. Requesting prayers for the family of those 2 souls and for the Careflite family as well. Thanks.
Travis

Just recieved more bad news from management, Yesterday truly was a bad day for the Careflite family, on top of the helicopter crash, one of our ground transport paramedics was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and is currently hospitalized in a drug induced coma with cerebral edema, multiple skull fractures, and C and T spine fractures. So requesting prayers for him and his family as well. Thanks for all the prayers, This is why I love this site, everyone here is kinda like an internet family as well.

Yes very bad for the ones involved, I was at the location until they got the fire out; making sure that enough water was available for fire fighters.
Prayers sent

Prayers here as well.
I actually saw the smoke from it right as it was happening yesterday on my way home for lunch.
Turned on the news while eating and they were talking about it.
Sorry for your loss!!

Was this in the Midlothian area as well??
There was a major traffic tie up between Midlothian and Waxahachie yesterday morning. Our office landlord crashed his motorcycle in the exact same spot about 6 months ago.

So sorry to hear this, we had one go into the side of a mountain in the fog here a few years back, killed the crew and patient. These life flights are true Angels when you are in need of a Trauma center quickly, but with that unfortunately comes the dangers associated with air travel.

Prayers from West Virginia

Sorry to hear about your losses. My life was saved by a helicopter due to a cycle crash up this way, Northflight EMS. They payed me multiple visits in the 2 months I was in the hospital. Also had a lump in the throat a couple years a go here, when one of the choppers crashed into an antenna during a certification run on top of the hospital. Fortunately, injuries were not serious, but kept us worried for a bit. Our units were tied up securing scattered debris for the investigation for quite a while, before we could check on their status.
Take care.
Don
