Can I paint pressure treated wood on my porch floor?

will it last?

wife wants the floor of the porch painted for some reason.

i made such a mess painting the railings, and got white paint all over the floor, might be a good way to hide my faux pas.

white house, white railing, black shutters.

SPILT SOME OF THE JANITORS COFFEE ON IT DIDN`T YOU.
NOW YOU`VE GOT TO COVER YOUR TRACKS !
I THINK FIRST YOU WOULD HAVE TO PRESSURE WASH IT ,AND LET IT DRY !
THEM YOU MIGHT USE A URATHANE BASE PAINT, OR MAY BE OIL BASE DONT KNOW. I GUESS CHECK PAINT STORE, A GOOD ONE WILL BE HONEST WITH YOU.

Black with a Big red cummins emblem in the middle! Or maybe whatever the wife wants would be a better idea

I am a pinting contractor and I can tell you with a year of weathering you should be able to paint PT and not have any problems if it is newer than that they sell special products that breathe and you can paint it with those.
Check with sherwin williams for products they are usually very helpful. Talk to your local rep though not a counter guy they don't know Edit

Good luck with the project

Don't use gloss. It will be slick as **** with water or snow under your shoes.

We just stained ours, and you can get just about any color in stain that you can in paint, and it will hold up to being walked on better.
Let any new CCA weather for about a month, or else you'll have the treatment stuff work out and blend with the paint or stain and discolor it, then ya got to do it all over again.
We used a Sherwin Williams stain tinted grey to match the house. PSI wash the deck, then PSI wash it with a ph nuetralizer before staining.. ours came out looking really good, tho I have to do the steps and hand rail yet, as they were replaced and havent weathered enough yet.
