I wish I had the pictures of my 00 Freightliner after the drivers steer let loose, but the company wouldn't let me have any, lol. Interstate 74 in Indiana, right by Exit 143(Petro). Had just gotten BOTH steers replaced in Florence, KY. It gave me a little warning before it let go, but when it finally went, it tore up the whole side. Pulled the door open on the bottom, ripped the steps off the tank, knocked the power steering resi and fuel filter off the frame. What a mess. I was only doing 45 mph, I knew something wasnt right. Seat was still clean, steering wheel was still fine, pants were even clean. I would've hated to seen my blood pressure though.

I had a blowout in the 1960s on the right front of a 1964 Thunderbird doing 95 MPH. I knew that I had to stay off the brake and let it coast to a stop. The only effect I noticed was the right front side began to float up and down as I was slowing down. I had the feeling that If I hit the brake it could have rolled over.

I was somewhat shaken when it got stopped but I changed the tire and went on.
