Cam lock plates

My brother in law is using my short block for his 65Impala. It's a 427 bored .030 over. He's using Edelbrocks ProFlow fuel injection setup. We put in a new cam over the weekend. We used locktite on the cam bolts but when we bolted the timing cover on, we forgot to bend over the tabs on the plate. I've never had a problem before with bolts backing out of the cam. What do you guys think? Should we pull the cover and bend em' over? Any big/small block chevy guys out there?
