we`ll i had an interesting & informitave day !
is any one here aware that we have a check valve in our line to transmishion cooler ?
all chrysler trannys with overdrive have them - it would seem that is the main culprut in transmishion falure -
the check valve is supose to stop bleed-back from the converter from the cooler -
however if they fale or the rubber seals swell they plock oil flow to the cooler & then there is no return to the tranny -
this causes lack of lubercation to the bering on the reverse & overdrive shaft in the rear of the transmishion .
this is why so many of our transmishions have failure of revurce & overdrive .
thought i would share that little jewl with every one
