Paul, she sounds like a good girl, and good neighbors too.

i remember when folks were good to each other...well, just because you were good to each other, because you were all you had to depend on.

i was cutting my neighbors grass, he's down in his health.
my buddy went over to fix holes in his garage, and he yelled at him
then same buddies wife went over (health care specialist) and got into some words.

i ain't too big on helping him out no more.

i do cut right around the stoop so his nurses and folks don't have to walk thru a forest, but i don't think i will do any thing over and beyond.

the weeds around his AC unit was over my head last year.

reckon they will be by this of this summer too.

Wink can't sleep, porch is nice but bigger critters moving in the woods just gets to ya...

yeah, love to help the older folks, but cranky usually has a reason...
best do what you're doing.. you are just too smart to leave the Navy, man so many young ins to raise..

doc report had to wait, tough delivery at hospital. other docs said they'd change their schedule to get me in, very nice to hear. main doc's sister (who works in office) saved a life today. uppity blonde secretary said my surgery could be scheduled next November before Thanksgiving....I am scheduled for next wednesday now. averted small nuclear cloud...

Loved to hear from ya AKPaul, and agree with you. ditto.

Good to see ya back on track Old Dog. I bought clover for the deer. it may even get in the ground this year..

sad to report 'unofficial' phone call with BCI (investigations for state police)
revealed young trooper made a 'bad choice'. so, unofficially, he will find reassignment to fit with aforesaid personal choice. only a matter of time before unemployed choice hits.

why do people have such a hard time with honesty?

husband and son shuttled me around like Granny on Beverly Hillbillies. I did get to swim, but they were right there again. no wonder she was cranky!
Lights on in the barn, stars are beautiful- time to put this day behind.

Glad every one is doing ok. Dang. Been having to take the wife to the Dr every day this week including two trips to Anchorage and back (five hours each way). Bad news is she has some disks in her neck that are goofy and a sort of bad rotator cuff. Good news is we get to justify going to CA. Old parents place is close to UC Davis where there are some good neurosurgeons. Insurance wont pay for flights but will pay for treatment down there (cheaper and better). Wife and I love it there and my parents love having us to help out.
Best thing is:: The truck and trailer are there.
Wife can still dig rocks and bottles just cant use right arm too much until it gets fixed. Now to try getting standby tickets for Alaska air and wait to smell flowers again.

I have an 'older folk' here that's perpetually cranky. And 'cranky' is putting it mildly! I can tell you the reason for the crankiness too, but not in this forum lest I get banned! Suffice it to say that some people ain't happy unless they're UNhappy!

'Bout time the rest of ya got up this mornin' I think. Sooo...

Wink MORNING MORNING chores are done

she's cranky cause you keep 'tripping' over the garbage cans.....at five in the morning....underneath her bedroom window....same janitor there, as here.
I'd throw something at you, but that's love. everyone should love the janitor.

hubby got new laptop (heheh, naw won't say it) with all kinds of bells and whistles. needless to say, it is the first time I have fingerprinted myself for processing. talked to my own picture on the webcam and activated the computer from a cell phone. I still wear an analog watch. nuff said.

yes, yes taking it easy. hubby took off back hoe (now painted pretty) and put on five foot rototiller. put in lawn where garden once was; put garden up closer to back deck (no dog to protect the good stuff), put clover near fence for deer. for watching. or dinner. or they can watch me grill venison. don't really care. Japanese garden is self sustaining, only needs japanese now.
wish burdocks were a commodity.

Heidi feeling like FiverBOB and hanging out on NY lania (back deck)

Thanks Fronty. I've been offered the job, now I just have to figure out if I want to 1. do that for a living and 2. work in Dallas.

My drill batteries don't last more than 2 minutes when I go to use them.

Fronty Owner: If your batteries keep going dead, you are not using enough duct tape.

batteries keep going dead because its only a 7.2 volt drill and its about 5 years old...

One of these days I will upgrade to one of the nice 18+ volt jobs.
