BREAKROOM 2/17-22********Everybody WELCOME!
Mornin
Beautiful day here, sun shinning birds singing. Two coyotes just walked through the pasture checking for food. They are in good shape so must be finding lots of mice to eat.
Paul 12hrs of sunlight and nice temps......WOOHOO enjoy.
Hat sounds like your having withdrawals, shaky, can't eat, upset tummy. Poor little marine, want your blankie till you get your truck back. HaHaHa
Chris did that house that you were talking about before ever get to the market or was it just wishful thinking on the realtor's part? House hunting is worse than vehicle hunting.
Better get at it Later...

Hey everyone .... hope you guys are thawing out more than I am. Can't get my feet warm for nuthin' today
.
Gotta go roll around in the mud this afternoon to see why the 4WD on Mrs. Pistol's Yukon ain't fully engaging. Last summer I swapped out the old electronic activated front diff for one out of an 04 Silverado and thought that it was working properly.... snow & icey roads proved otherwise
. You can hear the electronic parts working to engage the front wheels but apparently it isn't sliding the splined coupling far enough (guessing at this point) to make the front wheels drive. Luckily, I still have the old one to tear apart and train myself on.
Basset pups are starting to move around and explore a bit ... one even let out a little bark and a growl
. Still not sure where I am gonna house these critters .... cuz everyone in the family has claimed one already
. Thank God I have the acreage.
Gotta roll ... lunch is a'cookin !!

Number 1 No No.....never run water in a outside wall. In a temp case like this, heat tape an insulate. Build a fake wall against ouside of where pipe runs and fill with insulation. In essence make that wall a foot thick. Don't tell me you have six inch exterior walls. The fake wall can be removed for addition.
Yea there are......and you hear about it all the time......cold front hit XXXXX millions of damage caused buy frozen water pipes. Not giving him a hard time, but it does get chilly where he is....Another thing on that thought we are using Wersbo Aquapex pipe in new buildings here, it will freeze an stretch without breaking
I have seen one frozen/busted water pipe here. that would have been about 15 years ago when a buddy's mom left the door open under their house so the neighborhood cats could "stay out of the wind".
of course, a cold winter here hits freezing for a couple days and warms back up.

Friend had a party 2 winters ago, it was 60 below outside. One of the guest thought it was to smoky so he cracked open a couple windows without saying anything. The cold air flowed in an settled on the floor, nobody noticed till my friends wife found water on the kitchen floor. It settled in the cabinets and froze the pipes leading to the sink. Needles to say she wasn't happy.

2wd works fine and front axle engages to the front driveline in 4wd but no power seems to be getting sent to front end. It feels like I may be getting a little bit to the front end when I put it in 4-lo but it is sure not much. Could be just my imagination
. It'stimes like these when I really miss my old shop in Key West ...7 bays with 2-post lifts in each one ..... and a free subscription to ALLDATA sigh
.Cheers,
