Na don't get to keep the old tubes but they get about 250,000 for them from the scrap dealer. Thats a whole set from the ones with the 2 and 3" tubes.

About a crew of 20 on days and the same on nights. Thats just to do the tubes then there are scaffolders, insulators etc.

Time to get some zzzzz see you in the AM.

I was just reading an article and it should be disenigrate(sp) when it crosses the atmosphere. The rest will cross and do the same within 40 days. They were looking for a direct hit on the fuel tank, but wont know for 24 to 48 hours whether that happened. Also, there was no warhead, they were hoping the impact itself would do enough damage.

OK need some guidance.

So I have this so called friend of mine who I think just totally used me and wondering what I should do in the situation. He is in the service and was stationed in fort hood texas and in order for them too move they were going to have too sell there horses 5 of them total. So I mentioned that he could pasture them at my place free of charge if he bought all the hay for his 5 and my two and we both agreed on that and that was that. Well fast forward several months they show up out of no were and hauled some of there horses out and one was limping and I just noticed it the day they showed up and had not got a chance too see why before they hauled it out too the vet. I think there mad at me because of it and there also starting too be really pushy about things. For one I asked if I could barrow there flat bed trailer too haul some D8 tracks too the scrapper if I paid for the new leaf spring well the trailer is loaded now and he knew it and called tonight too see if he could get the trailer on Saturday I told him I would have too see even what is up there too unload 11k worth of track and I am half tempted to jerk the spring I put in it out and let them deal with it. Also there stemming from on Monday night he calls at 9pm as I am getting in bed and wanted too know if I could go catch one of the horses they needed for the next day I told him no I am in bed then he asked if I could in the morning and I told him no I go to work at 3am I am not dealing with that at that time of the morning just so he did not have too come out with his wife too help get the horse. There also wanting me too buy what hay is left liike 15 bales in my barn. So were I am at now is I am so fed up with being used I am tempted too send them a bill for what is june till now 7 months or so for 300 bucks a month what I charge my normal pasture fee do I have a leg to stand on by doing that ?????

there now I feel better kinda

There's A Yard In Nebraska That Will Pay For The Horses. They Will Feed Them, Fatten Them Up, Then Quarter Them Up For The French People That Love To Eat Horse.
My Two Cents Would Be To Get Your Money Back That Way. Tell Your Freinds That You Are Financially Even Now.

DC, been around that tree a few times..
best you can do is tell them that due to circumstances( i.e. the price of hay and the weather, new work hours and all) that you can no longer keep the horses and that you need them off the property by the end of the month...
No sorry, but hay is too scarce this time of year, and what with the hours you are working, you wouldnt have an oppurtunity to buy and transport more anyways...
You feel disappointed to have to do this to a friend, but there simply is no choice, and by the way, after the first of March, you will be force to charge them the going rate of $15 a day per head for the boarding, because when your insurance guy came out last week to look at something, he told you your rate were going to go up because of the liability in boarding other peoples horses....and you feel terrible about it, but ya know, stuff happens..

The stallion that you are leasing will be arriving in March and you cant afford to put up fence to keep thier horses seperate, and you would feel awful if that big testosterone driven stallion went and killed or injured one of thier horses,so for their own sake they should get them off the property ASAP...

get the idea?
cut them and your losses and chalk it up to experience.....

Morning all!

DC, don't act out of haste. I read your post tree times and this is what I get. 1) The horses are their's, they can get them whenever they want. 2) If an animal is injured, you should at least make a phone call ASAP. I know a few hours are probably not a big deal but you know how folks are. Put the shoe on the other hoof for a minute. 3) Your agreement was hay for all seven. If they paid for the hay already, it's theirs, they can take it with them or you can buy it, your choice. 4) It's their trailer, they need to use it, get the tracks to the scrapper but leave the spring. There's no need to reduce your integrity by acting childish. 5) If you have time to catch the horse do it, if not, just tell them you don't have the time at the moment. You may not know what is going on in their world and what pressures they are under. I would think owning 5 horses would be a strain, especially to care for them properly and not being able to have them close by would only make it worse. 6) If this is a good friend, talk to him. Good friends are hard to come by.

I tend to like the direct approach myself; "Take your horses, hay, trailer and anything else with your name attached to it and get it off the property by sundown tomorrow. If you don't, I'll sell whatever I can and simply dispose of the rest. Don't ask me for anymore favors, business dealings, advice or anything else, I don't need the afggravation of having contact with you."

Gotta go dig frozen wood chips out of a dump body that won't dump because they were too lazy to do it last night and now they're frozen. Of course the dump body won't dump because they were too lazy to fix it when it was warmer and only worked a little. Now it's COLD and won't work at ALL!

chaikwa.
