Bought A Bed Cap (Camper Shell)

Kid at church owned a 90-something crew-cab, long-bed Chevy with camper shell. He sold the truck a couple of years ago and bought a dually Ford. But he kept the shell. It was butt-ugly red. Last week, I gave the guy $100 for the shell. He put it on my Ram and I drove home with it. Took it back off, put it on the garage floor, taped all the windows and used spray paint primer. Then I used Dupli Color Pewter color spray paint on it. Looked alright. A little darker than my truck color, but not bad. Today, I used two cans of dealer Light Driftwood. Now it matches my Ram - looks like it came with the truck. Not too bad for $100 plus the cost of some spray paint.

Ya just gotta like cheap stuff. Its a lot better than spending a lot of hard earned $$.

Plus it's recycling. That cap may have ended up in the land fill but instead is put to good use again. Cool.
