I wonder how much we are paying for this technology?
I'd like to have some telemetry to send to KIA to show them what a piece of junk their cars are in an accident. Wife was hit in hers, left front head-on at probably 70mph combined speed. Veered off and came to rest/pushed a boulder (probably 1000lb+) a foot or so with the front bumper. Only the driver side airbag (not the one in the steering wheel) deployed. The car was totalled. She talked with a rep about it and just got back a rehearsed response followed by a mailer informing us that the airbags are designed to not go off in all circumstances. Trooper, tow truck driver , and insurance adjusters all commented on the airbags not going off.
