The Cummins ISX is a big engine down under, at over 600 h.p. calibrations being used. there is a few ISX on the road here in the states using the Austrailia calibrations. I remember doing a logging truck on the dyno once and pulling 620 h.p. to the wheels and then asking the owner what up, of course his answer was " huh nothing " with a smile... must be the dyno is off, LOL it would have been very easy to hook up to it and check it out and when the footprint was changed.... but he was out of warranty anyways.

Now also remember that these beast weigh a heck of a lot more than the standard 18 wheeler. Takes a lot longer to stop too. If a trailer starts wobblin and going all over the road, and the driver can't get control of it, things can go ugly real quick.

I've blown a few tires at 60-70 mph on these

B-trains and Super B's (one more axle on the bridge). Whether it's one or more tires, the trailers have never gone "squirrely"....and if you lose an axle during nothing more than a normal trip, you either haven't done a proper pre-trip inspection and/or the company's trailer mechanics need to be fired.

U gotta be careful making a U-turn so you dont rear end yourself.....That doesnt sound right. Or try backing that up.

Once you get the hang of it, it's just as easy to back up doubles as a stiff pull. Trains corner far better too.

When my brother and I head out to the lake, he prepares to launch the boat and I back his truck, fifth wheel, and boat right down the launch - no need to unhook the boat trailer until getting into the camping stall. We do get some looks however.

Not so much for cattle they worry about but it's the kangaroos. That's why the trucks are equipped with 'Roo' bars.

when i said rabbit.....convertables, i was reffering to volkwagens, but thanks for killing the joke! and speaking of deer i was coming home from my girl friends house one night around 2am in my parents cavalier. iwas on hwy 90 almost to my turn-off and for some reason i hopped over into the left lane sooner than i usually do. not 3 seconds later did i see a HUGE BUCK standing right in the middle of the slow lane. i think i woulda put those crumple zones to good use!

Moose, deer, stupid drivers in Hyundais that pull out in front of me - all the same to me. I don't even let off the accelerator anymore. Want a new truck anyway.
