Anyone own or use a Century 80 MIG welder?

Having numerous small welding jobs around here that are not near the garage where the Miller 180 or the Lincoln buzz box reside, and me not wanting to roll out that much cord (yes I have a couple thousand feet of the big stuff), I bought on ebad a Century 80 mig. I know it is flux core only, I also realized it did not have much adjustment. What suprised me that the trigger is only operating the wire feed and not shutting down the voltage to the gun. It (and the wire) is hot ALL the time the box is on. Is this right or did I get a bad one?

First time I have seen a MIG hot all the time.

Thanks for your input.

Yup. thats the way most all the cheaper 110 flux cored units are. You just have to be careful but you can get used to it.
