No trouble with FireFox on both my Windows and my Linux machines.

Might you have a certain addon that is causing crashes?

Just got a update about 2 days ago, no problems. I have had it for about 1 year and no problems what so ever on a Windows XP SP2 laptop.

Well seems I am not alone...I don't know if I got last nights update yet or not. If It did it didn't help

I run virus scans every morning about 5 am along with 3 different anti spyware programs. My machine is running lean as well, only essential services and programs.

Hmmmm

I was having problems with version 2.0.0.6 of it locking up if I stayed on the same site for a while. I'd have to restart it to get it to start working again.

I use it and IE7 a lot and I also have a plug-in called IE TAB which allows Firefox to use the IE rendering engine on some sites, mostly Microsoft that like IE. I still don't like IE7 as well as Firefox though.

I have heard that Firefox has a serious memory leak problem but I have 2 GB of ram in this system and I haven't seen any problems with lack of memory. I also have a Dual Core CPU which makes for a sweet system.

Re-install?

Lary,

Have you tried to un-install FireFox and then re-install it?

Just disappears and when I restart it, gives me a message asking if I want to restart it since it had to close unexpectedly This happens a couple times a day and can be quite aggravating when you are trying to work.

Anybody else seeing this issue?
nada. given your history of computer problems, what's new?

No it will work fine for a day or two, then just lock up and disappear in the blink of an eye.
