Anyone ever use one of these?
I am thinking of buying one of these for my new to me boat.

It is a pre-start oiler that can also be used to maintain oil pressure during engine operation. Has anyone actually used one of these and are they any good.
Might also be good for the truck to pre-oil the turbo before starting. No prices are listed on the web-site so I will send them an e-mail for more information.

Ran something similar on an off road race truck a bunch of years ago. It was an Accusump oil accumulator.
It could be used as a pre oiler but in our case it was used in case of a loss of oil pressure during a race, it would keep pressure until the oil pump picked up again.
They work for sure! I actually have one here. Been looking into using it as a turbo oiler for quick shut downs. Same principal as what your looking at, just in reverse.

A lot of large machinery use a separate lube pump that must be started before the main engine begins to rotate. Otherwise bearings would be destroyed upon startup. I've heard that 95% of the wear on an automobile engine is at startup. Don't understand why this idea hasn't been worked into cars & trucks. Then again, who wants a vehicle to last 40 years?
Here is what I put on my boat:

I have it plumbed so I can use it to drain oil when changing oil or
use it as a pre luber, it just sucks it out of the oil pan and pumps it back into an oil galley, I just put a T where my oil pressure guage sending unit
goes.
It does not creat a lot of oil pressure 5lbs or so, but I think thats enough
to wet the bearings and pump oil to valve train. I run it a couple minutes close the valve, then start engine. I used hydraulic hose from oil pan to pump
suction side, then from pressure side it has a T with a ball valve on each side
one side used for pre lubing the other for changing oil.
Just another option for you. Accumulators work very well and you can get them in different sizes depending on how much oil you want to store.
