Anybody got spammed by http://www.alpinetransmissionsupply.com ?

I've got 5 e-mails that want me to visit alpinetranssupply.com-

The mails are very unprofessional, there are very many e-mail addresses in the to field, so there are a lot of e-mail addresses that are published.

I would like to make it very clear to everybody that I am in no way affiliated with this company.

I would like to know where they got my e-mail address..

Never heard of them before. We don't give out user email addresses here

I did not intend to suggest that the DTR leaks the e-mail addresses. I just wondered, and wanted to declare that this has nothing to do with me even though the names may sound similar.

I sent them a catalog of my professional services in dealing with the spam they sent. I will analyze it for them and charge my normal consulting rates for each piece of spam they send
The last few companies I billed stopped spamming me. (Austrian law says that sending an e-mail to a consultant can legitimately be seen as an order to process the data... analog to a letter to a lawyer... )

Yep, and if they are dumb enough to have a business address you can send the bill to... You need to have some provision for e-mail billing in your terms and conditions.

I think that this is a good way to get rid of a lot of spammers. (And sometimes they do pay and then stop spamming)

The only problem with the Nigerian lottery (state funds, whereeverthemillionsofdollarsarefrom etc) is that they do not pay for the consultants...
But their reactions to the bills are hilarious, even though quoting the language therein would get me banned from the dtr immediately

Yep, I do regularly bill them. They do cause an effort on my part (reading the e-mails, evaluating the proposals etc), and this must be reimbursed.
I found that as soon as you bill them they stop spamming you. And since my e-mail is quite public there are a lot of tries to do it.
I do really consider using a factoring bank for billing them. Those guys are bloodhounds!
