Any Iowa members
I am planning on going thou there and picking up my new cattle trailer from Sioux City IA the middle to the last of Jan. I am planning a day to spend at Waterloo John Deere plant and tour it.
What else is there to do there in Waterloo? If I tour the JD plant then I would like to do something for my wife since she is so eager to tour the JD plant with me.
Day 1:My plan is to drive from Cynthiana KY as far as I can to Sioux City IA which is 889 miles
Day 2: driven the rest of the way to Sioux City and picking up my trailer and driven to Waterloo LA that night 232 miles to Waterloo and spending the night.
Day 3: touring the John Deere plant and other JD things. Doing something for the wife and spending the night.
Day 4: driven the 624 miles back to Cynthiana with my new cattle trailer.

Too bad you couldnt of come up before I move to Wyoming :'(, we coulda had a mini-meet or somthing and toured the plant as a group. As for attractions, I am not too familiar with that neck of the woods, maybe these will help:<br><br>http://www.wplwloo.lib.ia.us/waterloo/attractions.html<br><br>http://www.waterloocvb.org/attractions.htm<br><br>Thats about all I have for info. There is a great ORV park down by Iowa City, but it is not too dually friendly. <br><br>If I can find anything else I will post them, or PM you.<br><br>

hey, attle hauler, i live in Elma Iowa. i am abuot 45 minute straight north of waterloo. used to go down there with hogs like 2- 3 times a day. Ther is an IBP kill plant directly 1/2 mile south of one of the john deere facilities. I used to goose neck horses from soix city to milwaukee Wisconsin for awhile and hauled other livestock here and there. until i started drivin bullrack. Quit that last year and converted to being a cement truck driver. {Ilike the home time}. but now with buying a new truck i am thinking of lining another trailer up and start hauling again.it would be nice to meet another member from the tdr. not to many around this neck of the woods
as for the wife there is plenty of places to shop in waterloo but thats about it this time of the year.. sorry im rambling , :-Xlater

Thanks for the links guys, I will driven from Siuox City to Waterloo and staying in Waterloo that night. Getting up and touring the John Deere Waterloo Works Plant that morning and then driven over to Moline IL and touring the John Deere Pavilion.
We can meet up that night once I get into Waterloo. I will be needing to found a hotel for the wife and I and then somewhere to eat. Maybe we can grab supper together in Waterloo that evening. My plan right now is getting into Waterloo Feb 3rd Monday afternoon sometime.
