Any Honda Techs? Need some help please.

Ok the problem is with a 2003 Honda Civic EX that my sister bought the other day from a dealer(Not a honda dealer). She's had it two days now and the ABS and Brake light are lit up on the dash all the time alon with the air bag light. WHich was no problem yesterday, but today she got in it and started to drive when all the gauges went dead. When she would come to a stop they'd come back on. I drove it this afternoon and it was doing the same thing to me but about 15 min in to my trip they started working again like they should, except that the ABS and Brake lamps were still lit or flashing. The car is going to the dealer she bought it from friday but in the mean time i have to drive since my truck is in the body shop getting the driver side repainted. I was wondering if this is a common problem among civics or if it is an easy problem to diagnose? I guess it's prabably a sensor problem or a ground problem. Thanks.

Grounding- - - sounds like you have a ground loose coming off of the ABS Module.

LOL, No shovelhead it didn't come from NOLA. It was purchased new here at a dealer near me and the owner lived in my town. I figured something with the ABS was wrong but would that make the instrument cluster go dead periodically?

Since you have multiple problems look for a common link. Wiggle the ign switch to see if you can reproduce the symptoms. Sometimes traded vehicles have had equipment removed (radios swapped out, remote starts removed etc) and the wires are not correctly patched or taped. One of the most common causes of ABS/Brake light on is low fluid in the master cyl. If you can remove the lower steering covers and do a visual inspection of the harness that is where I would start.
