Almost blown away!!!!

We had storms come thru Tues night that had me thinking "It's the big one". Went to bed @ 12:45 am and suddenly heard a roaring noise. About 1 min later the power goes off. 1 min later the winds hit our house and had it shuttering. I lay in bed thinking "it to late to do anything". After about 15 mins it calmed down, then my pager went to calling several FDs out. We had many trees down, power lines down, trees on houses, roads blocked. After I felt the family would be ok, I spent the next 4 hours helping cut trees off roads and checking on elderly folks around our area. Had more severe storms come thru Wed am, but we missed the damage on round two. Yall take care out there!

We had a few trees down outside of town. We lost an overhead door at work. Just pushed in when the two storms out of Oklahoma come together before heading off to your neck of the woods.

Good to hear you made it thru ok.

When the same storm front came thru Texas, a tornado passed about 1/2 mile from my place. I stood in front of my barn and watched it coming, going by and going away. I could only see the funnel when it would lightening, but from the sound of it, I knew it was real close. Three killed and about 30 homes destroyed.

You can see some of aftermath here.

Wicked pictures.

Man, wind and water are the two worst things I can think of. Scary stuff.

Hey crobtex, glad you made it thru it ok. The noise I heard about 2 mins before the wind hit scared the poopoo outa me. We have access to a storm shelter, but its about 100 yards away so all I could do was say a quick prayer! I guess he was listening!

Naw, the bigger the better! If another one comes that close, I'm sure I would have a lot of company.
