Airshow Photos
We have a little event here in Louisville as part of The Kentucky Derby party called Thunder Over Louisville. It is an all day airshow and then a fireworks show at night. I took some pictures of the airshow. Lots of great military planes old and new. The first half of the show photos are on my Facebook page. Here is the link. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3&l=bd5df43b3d
Here is the link to the rest of the photos. Enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3&l=086ea1ea82
Cool Photos
...I have some buried around here somewhere of me and a dozen of my buddies dropping in on an Airshow at Andrews AF Base on glide chutes and then going airborne again dangling from ropes tossed out the rear door of a Chinook
Funny how in the 80's that made a LOT more sense to me than it does now

I'm really lucky my condo is front row for this event and all these photos were taken from my balcony. One of the flight crew on the B-52 bomber in the photos is the nephew of one of my thunder party guests.
Those are neat pictures.
Seems like we used to have alot more military Air Shows in the 70's, 80's and even in the 90's that we do any more.
I used to go to Edwards AFB, NAS Miramar, MCAS El Toro, and old March AFB.

I think a lot of the aircraft used in the shows were deployed for the middle east conflicts and are only now being recalled as the need for their services there decreases.
