A little different eye problem. My wife has been legally blind 20/400 without her coke bottles. ( thats why she married me she couldn't see what she was getting into) Well fast forward to the age of 50 & two eye surgeries on both eyes. the first was Refractive Keratoplasty & the second was Astigmatic Keratotomy.

She now wears glasses that with a special monocular lens on one glass sort of like a jewlers glass & now for the 1st time in her life she is able to legally drive. Shes has been driving now for the last 5yrs & doing great. Of course she was already road savy being married to a truck driver for 37 yrs.

We bought her a new entry level car at 1st but now she is driving a new suv with all the bells & whistles. Life has changed dramaticly for both of us.

So for those who are afraid of having eye surgery I say if it improves the quallity of your life go for it. They have come a long way with eye surgery.
