I had a 96 1500, 88,000 miles , oil pressure sending unit went out, warped front rotors, I had them turned and installed NAPA severe duty pads=end of problem. No problem with the auto trans, but I changed tranny fluid+filter on a regular basis. Also one o2 sensor, new one brought back up the MPG.

I had a 95 2500 with a 360 and it was a good truck. I think around 85,000 mile my oil pressure sending unit went out, my pleneum gasket went out, and a hub assembly went south. Around 100000 the other hub went out and at 130000 the ball joints went south too. It never ever had a tranny problem in the 160000 that were on it when i go rid of it. Although it seems like it went trhough brakes about every 20000-30000 but from what i've gathered 4x4 dodges do like brakes. The gas mileage on mine was 10 city and about 13 -14 hwy but it had plenty of power.
