Can't forget. I still recall the "Boom" and the "Boom" in the background while I was standing on a lawn in Holmdel NJ. Boss says to me "Hey T. Did you hear that ? Must be doing blasting up the ways a way...".
I looked at him and told him that we're in "SAND", and blasting isn't done here.
Within seconds of the first "boom" my phone rang, and the wife was telling me that someone ran plane into the Twin Towers. I knew right then and there, that it wasn't some accident. When the second plane hit, I went home, packed my pistol, and went back to work. Told the boss to be "aware". Nothing became of it here, but it still freaked me out.
Memories of all those innocent people fill my days ever since.
