ive been looking around for 20 or 30 round mags for my colt ar 15, its a 7.62x 39, not the typical 223 or 308. i know dpms makes a 10 round mag, any one know where i can get some higher capacity mags?

 

With ammo prices I'd just get a .223 upper.

I've read that higher capacity magazines don't feed very well in 7.62x39, ProMag and MWG both make 10 rounders as well, probably for good reason.

 

7.62x39 (ak rnds.) are always less expensive than 223 rnds.

Yes, they can be had for extremely cheap if you buy in bulk. Just gotta make sure they're non corrosive primers.

 

I have had several of the older USA and Scherer pre-ban 30 round 7.6xx39 AR15 magazines for years now and they have worked well for me. These are essentially AK-47 magazine bodies welded to an AR15 feed tower. These pop up in the Equipment Exchange over at a515.com from time to time.

C Products is supposed to be coming out with a 7.62x39 magazine for AR15s in the very near future. I will probably give them a try.

Thanx for the info ill have to wait on c products to see what theyve got instore, ive done some networking and scrounged up 5 20 round clips gotta find more though
