My wife and I got married in the parking lot of the Big K Mart where we first met. I had just bought a house and she was just back in NC after finishing nursing school in Alaska so we didn't have any spare change between us. A friend of her's husband was a New Age (non-denominational) preacher so he did the vows, complete with the ringing of a Buddhist prayer bell. An older guy I used to work with and his wife (who had eloped 26 years earlier) were the witnesses and my little brother was the reluctant Best Man (I still think he feels like my wife took his best friend away - but he lives beside me now and we get to hang out alot more).

It ain't the ceremony, its the living afterward that makes the marriage. So far we have outlasted the KMart (it shut down a couple of years ago). Six years and counting on forever.
aaahhhh isn't that so sweet!!!!!!

Barry, you'd better ask Britt if he can cook before you seal the deal! A man can't live on love alone you know.

My wife and I have been married 20 years now and I to love her more every day. we also have the same intrests.hunting, fishing, camping. and never do anything apart from one another.I believe those things make a marriage strong. and today I find out that I am going to be a grandpa at 41 years old.I felt young until that moment.

I met my wife/girlfriend( been living together 7 years now, whats that make her?) at a traiing clinic. She coldnt get her horse to behave, and I let her ride mine while I worked with hers. Wound up being the best swap I ever made......
Thought she was an angel then and still do. I used to write her poems and email tehm to her, 'till I found out she was showing 'em to her girlfriends, and iI quit. That stuff wasnt fer sharing...

Britt, CONGRATS .....
5 years can be a second or an eternity or both with the right one...
