We got freezing rain topped off with about a foot of snow and now the wind is howling.
City maintenance thought it would be a good idea to remove the snow so that the icy roads can get polished up even more with the folks sitting there spinning and the wind shining it up.

MY twin od south sure described it good. Might as well just throw yourself out on yer butt and get it over with. I thought you had a rope from the house to the truck for situations like this?

Sliding across bridges and hauling pine trees out of the power lines .... man, you guys sure know how to have fun .

I showed off a few new dance steps yesterday while attempting to walk to the chow hall. These cobblestone streets are murder with a little ice .

Hey that's an idea I never thought about my golf cleats and I can wear Mr. Flash's hard hat! Just to be safe I'll carry a set of jumper cables so if I do fall they will hang up on something and stop the descent.

Takin' off today to go ride the ATV with a buddy.
Gonna be a little chilly. I think the chill in the air is from all these big white spheres screamin' overhead. They seem to be coming out of the northwest and heading to the southeast. One of 'em said "Take that Bob", I have no idea what that meant.

You guys on the right coast covered in ice, BE CAREFUL!!!!!
(Last week, when Dallas had a little ice/wintry mix, the wife of one of my hunting lease partners fell in her driveway and broke her leg in multiple places )

Co-worker informed me yesterday that I "owed" $20 for the Boss' gift.
Same co-worker was informed that he should have checked with me before spending MY money. My boss falls into the 'Slinky' catagory.
Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything,
but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs
The $20 will stay in my pocket.

Not as bad here as I expected. Power was on yesterday when I got home. Tree still not cleaned up though . Went up the mountain. Only one lane out to our property. A couple of trees down that I will have to get cleaned up later.

SH - I pass on the "parties" also. Those ain't parties if you know what I mean and they quit coming to me for "donations" a long time ago.

hotdram - you ride that ATV hard enough and you won't be cold. The perfect heater.

I sure could use one of those famous Flash omeletes. 4 eggs, bacon, cheese, onions, bellpepper, a touch of Texas Pete and an Enlgish muffin or whole wheat toast. Grits would be great too. She sure knows how to fix'em. MMMmmmmmmmm (where is the "pig out" smilie?)

Patio is still like an ice skating rink but it’s SUNNY so it should melt of in a while. Birds are really piggin’ out at the feeder this morning trying to stay fat and warm. Forecast says we have more of the winter stuff coming in Saturday night.

JKE here’s your omelet with wheat toast and grits. I made plenty so everyone dig in. Rob, I made your omelet into a sammich so you can take it with you on the ATV, I threw one in for your buddy too. I think I’m spoilin’ you guys.

We have a Christmas dinner to go to this evening. Nothin’ like gettin’ dressed up and piggin’ out at a good restaurant on the company’s money. We do the Dirty Santa thing, I bought a massage frog it’s a hoot.

Chris, word of warning no broom for Christmas.

Shovelhead, I bet you try to push that Slinky down the stairs every chance you get, don’t ya.

I for one hope that “brush” never gets found.

I heard that Ed was going to give Mr. Slinky a slightly used toilet brush for Christmas .... maybe just a nasty rumor. Gotta love those company parties ... "Mandatory Fun Night". I got cornered by the boss about going to ours tonight ... left me no wiggle room either (someone must've tipped him off ).

That brush is a very valuable, multi-purpose tool and I'm gonna miss it if it's never found. It's almost like a (sniff) parta the family.

Man ... I didn't even win a door prize. Swiped a couple Christmas tree decorations .... nothin's too good for MY wife !!!!

The slush on the road going to town was sure a bear. The folks that are usually doing 100+ mph were doing 25 the whole way. Thought I was gonna fall asleep. The ride home was much more interesting . (yes, there was a designated driver ... and he scared me to death !!)

JKE..... nope , this is early for me.
Flash, she honestly said she wants a broom... second thing on her list was " go travelling"....

Chaikwa, the investigation has been able to track the brush since it was smuggled out of the offices by a large,bearded man and placed in someones truck , hidden in the stacks.
It was next located in NC, were it was appears to have been used to clean the ice off several patios in an RV park. The brush was then smuggled into Canada via an ATV. The next info is that a large quantity of brush bristles mixed with human facial hair were found along side a road in a remote area. These bristles were found to have coffee, grits and "other" stains on them.
This area is reportedly known for large thong wearing flying spheres of snow, but ya know how those canucks like to tell stories...the cold affects the brain ya' know.....
It is beleived the brush has been smuggled back into the States via an air transport enroute towards an undisclosed location.
All this info has been forwarded to the F.B.I.( Fuller Brush Inc. ) for follow-up, however the odds of recovery are slim and it would apear that the brush has been extensivly damaged .
If any further leads develop, I'll let ya know......
