The green stuff was from the Comet I used to clean it with, and I used bleach. You call yourself a janitor, that coffee pot was disgusting! She sure shines now eh?

Good Morning guys.....who made the coffee this morning? the pots fresh, but there aint no "bite" to it. Chaikwa, better find an ol' Bosun's Mate to show ya how to make GOOD "morning" coffee...

Not much been happening around here buut the rain.. 9 inches in teh last 11 days. Everythigns pretty much soaked to the core. Washed out my arena and flooded the barn. The horses in for training get to sit awhile until I can get it dryed out and repaired. Nice timing on teh rain, too late to help the corn crop, too much to let them get an early start on prep'ing the fields for the winter wheat planting...glad I aint a farmer, they got it ruff this year.....

Well, better pretend to be doin' somthing constructive........

Keep it strong? It just whooped me in arm wrestling! It doesn't need to be any stronger.... notice there hasn't been any mouse crap around? It aint cause the janitor is working... the mice can't take the coffee fumes!

 

Not right, Don - - the mice died before they had a chance to crap after sippinig the stuff.

We are in Petosky, Mich and heading a little more south tomorrow. The weather has finally cooperated a little bit better, but now a stupid hurricane is coming up from the other way. Hope it still can't find my house. Pretty country, but the state parks are so far overpriced it is rediculous. It is cheaper to go into a high priced private park. Oh well, can't take it with me. In fact, I think they don't want me to take it out of the state.

Take care, see when I find INET again. In the meantime, don't be too hard on the janitor. I want him in a good mood when I get down his way.

I was just up there not too long a go. Should have some good beach weather finally. Guvna raised the prices on everything last year. I'm off tomorrow Thurs and Friday, any plans at all? Thinking about hitting The Betsy River near Frankfort, somewhere during that time. Salmon are comeing in heavy I've heard.

There's still donuts left over from yesterday. Not too crunchy yet either, so eat 'em up. I ain't buyin' more 'til these are gone. I'm glad I don't spend the money to get the fresh ones.

Oh, and don't blame me if the coffee tastes 'funny'... someone tried cleaning the pot yesterday and whatever they did took all the 'seasoning' out of it. It takes weeks to properly build up that layer of flavor, now it's all gone and I gotta start over again.

What moron cleaned the coffee pot?



I got to tell you a story about that. I was assigned to the division office on my ship. As the newbie I had to make coffee. At the time I didn't drink it so when I saw the old metal coffee maker I took some Comet and scrubed that baby till it shined! Oh man was the brass POed! Coffee tasted nasty for a week, and boy did I hear about it!

 

Settled down in Las Cruces. I-10 closed due to flooding. Whoda known. High desert in the summer.
Good flight out. Navy C-9. Hour and a half from Little Rock. Stews werw fugly and no beer available.
Gotta get busy.
