Morning all ....

Had to resort to pulling out the OLD laptop this morning ... lightning storm last night appears to have wreaked havoc on my work laptop AND the desktop one as well ... we can hear the dial tone but the computer doesn't make the dialing happen. Gonna be interesting to see if work makes me pay for repairs on their computer.

Bruce ... give em heck, shipmate !! Most of them boys have their heads so far up someones backside to focus on anything below their paygrade ... they need a good ol' boy like you to do a rectal-cranial inversion and show them what the real world looks like once in a while. You have the added bonus of being slated for retirement ... kinda like being half-loaded ... freedom to "express yourself at the drop of a hat".

Hope you all have a great Memorial weekend ... there is a reason we all get to celebrate it ... be sure to take a few moments to reflect on that fact.

Cheers,
PISTOL

NW Houston 84*F and partly cloudy.
Afternoon HAT. Got a new name for furball? Who put them notes under is name
Almost Inde race time. Any guesses on where the race babe, Danica will finish?

Old dog, I thought you got Murphy a 1 way ticket out of town. Tractor might have to jack up the ignition key and slide a new tractor under it.

PW. If the desk top has a separate modem card that could be blown. Same on the laptop, their modems are usually built in. Sometimes you can slip a modem card it one if the card slots, or the new wireless that connect anywhere and use a USB port. "Gee boss, don't know what happend to the lap top, it was that way when I got here, didn't happen on my watch." Good luck Is this the new job you were looking at.?

Wife on the way home, gonna stop for lunch with her sister in Huntsville.

FO that breakfast shoul hold you till lunch time..

Have a good un, be save out there

Now that is not what Punta Dunta lady said - - she said you empty the refrigerator every other day. Hi Scotty, you little rascal.

Hi everyone else too. Busy day for a Sunday - -course part of the day was messed up watching some of the race. Poor Danica.

Busy couple days coming up to get out of here for a week. So, probably be a little scarce for a week or so. Ya'll be good while I am gone. Yeh, you too Scotty.

Thanks, Scott. I appreciate all your hard work in the breakroom.

Mornin, DTR. Had a really good day yesterday, me and one of my best friends went shoppin for him a new CTD... it's nicer than mine... he's already asking me how to bomb it... >insert evil smiley< I got plans for it... It was funny yesterday... the salesman was like, " This is out blah blah blah..." and I was like yeah, I know, it's got this and this and this, what about this, oh, yeah, it's not the blue tech, that's another 5k off... and this lift ain't right, feel that shake? That's the horiziontal stab... 5k miles and it's already bad...

He asked if I was a mechanic... I said not really. hehehe

Stained the deck on his trailer that I got for him a few months ago... Funny, I have been with him for his last few major purchases... although, he was the best man at my weddin, and he didn't stop me... why should I stop him? It's not like he can't sell it later...
Me and the OL are going to go grab a bite to eat in a few... cause I love her...

This is the truck...

Morning all, not much on the agenda today. Nothing worth telling that I wouldn't have to kill you for after I told you.

Morning y'all. Hope this finds everyone chilling out and staying out of the sun. Temps and humidity running about the same. Got a four dayer. Feels strange since I haven't had this much time off, at any one time, in a couple of years.
Davey, the mill is going good. Ought to have the restoration finished in a couple of weeks. Got a bunch of goodies coming in this week for it. Since I'm converting it to electric instead of mule power, I've picked up a 165:1 gearbox and motor. #100 chain and sprokets to gear me down another 1.93:1, and a 10KW single to three phase rotary converter. The gearbox just happens to be a dark bule and the phase converter haze gray. Wonder where they might have come from. 3.5 hp@1750 rpm dropping to 2900 ft lbs of torque @ 5 rpm. Ought to do it.
Been busting hiney trying to help get the daughter and family moved into their new house. Just about there. Foeld lines for the septic system needs to be covered and gray water leach field/pit finished. Hopefully by next weekend. Won't know what to do with just the wife and me in the house.
Better go see how the brush pile is burning. Got a big one going in the shop/syrup cooking/mill shed clearing. Hopefully, around the tail end of October, syrup making will commence.
