Ah, that's just a little spider. The writing spider I fed for about three months got to be about five inches or more leg tip to leg tip. She was a monster. And then there's the black snakes I turn loose under the house. Haven't found any for a while and the mouse population in the house is telling me that.

Alright all you slackers and non-hackers, pop tall and turn too.
(I'm off today so I can say that, it's cool to have six weeks vacation a year )

Got the AC fixed in the Bat Oven. Didn't take Post Engineers but a week to get a $46 fan motor. Had to threaten going to the two star to get them moving.
The temp is now 82 with a HUGE reduction in humidity. Should be down to 68 by work time Monday. 14 " outside walls, 8" inside walls, 8" vault walls. All poured. Lots of concrete to get cooled off.

Afternoon all,

Houston Thunderstorm 79°F (26°C) streets flooed again.
When it stops, got more rounds to do.

Lunch done, I had a waste not want not lunch, fixed wife collard greens. Here is how she eats them, wash greens, tear up into small bit size pieces, crumble bacon on top and potlikker of coffee and bacon grease. Gotta have corn bread with it. It is an aquired taste, she grew up on it.

Momma spider, sitting in her web, not doing much.

SR be

DD4x4 taking all 6 weeks at once?

CIN got the chocolate launcher working yet?

A TGIF time, be safe out there.

Hey, I didn't mess it up too bad, I had one of my socks in there, fresh from walking 3 miles on concrete. I think someone came along after I was here and put some anti-freeze in it.

Last one out, first one in... that's the way I like it....
Coffee's on. Stong blend today, stayed up late doing paperwork. Careful, it has a bite. Better use the steel coffee cup today, too.
5 and a wake up. Gettin ready to not have to get up at 0300 or before every morning, and going to bed at or after 2300. Just for a week, tho. Better than nothin.
Hope made chocolate chip cookies on the counter that the wife made last night, 2 per so everyone can get some...

Mornin' all,

More rain on the way to houston.
Going up to Fort Hood near Killean with army son, to look around, he hopes to get statiioned there for a while.

Thanks for the breakfast and coffee CIN. Helps gets the day started, Found the chocolate bar in the back yard. Working on the spider launcher and little parachuites for them,

Hat someone drank up all your good took my two cookies, thank the wife for me.
Do the marine recruits get training in finacial matters like savings plans 401K how to manage credit and plaining for the future. Looked over all the good information our son got in basic, and would have to pay for it out in the civilan word. Wish someone had given me that information when I was much younger.

DD4x4, Or would they have to retrain you after 6 weeks?
I took a 5 week vacation once, and they moved the office while I was gone. Had to hunt for it.

Time to go blow the cobwebs out of the cylinders,

Have a good un and be safe out there

I set them up with a financial advisor before we grad, I do that on my own. They can enroll in a Thrift Savings plan, simmilar to a 401K, but millitary style. I call a guy I know in town to come in on one of my duty nights at the end of training, so that they do something with their money. (unlike me, who invested in budweiser, high test, and perfume...)
