Evening everyone.

Back from the GF's, had some lasagna tonight for dinner. Might have to go fetch a car tomorrow. The gf's brother was coming home to visit for the weekend and his car took a dump on the side of I-65 about 45 min from here. I dunno whats all wrong with it, i do know it over heated and isn't wanting to start. I was told its turning over but not wanting to start. Won't know anything till i look at it.

Back on Nightshift again.
It's actually getting dark again at night and the temps are dropping as well. Was 33* yesterday when I rolled out of bed. A bit brisk. Neighbor's yard had a touch of frost on it Perhaps Sep. might have a bit of indian summer to it. I got more work to get done arround the house.......

That has to be the most depressing thought to be expressed this early in the morning.

Yes. Much better. (both the coffee and the greeting!)

Today is Friday, August 21st.

On this day in 1878 - The American Bar Association was formed by a group of lawyers, judges and law professors in Saratoga, NY. Who would have thought that a group of prominent and educated people such as those would need an association to go out and get drunk.

1912 - Arthur R. Eldred became the first American boy to become an Eagle Scout. It is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.

1923 - In Kalamazoo, Michigan, an ordinance was passed forbidding dancers from gazing into the eyes of their partner.

1943 - Japan evacuated the Aleutian island of Kiaska. Kiaska had been the last North American foothold held by the Japanese.

1945 - U.S. President Truman ended the Lend-Lease program that had shipped about $50 billion in aid to America's Allies during World War II.

1959 - Hawaii became the 50th state. U.S. President Eisenhower also issued the order for the 50 star flag.

1963 - In South Vietnam, martial law was declared. Army troops and police began to crackdown on the Buddhist anti-government protesters.

Have a day!

Hey Fluffy,

Get the hair outta your ears, I said Back 40. Here is a definition just so there is no confusion....

Origin: shortened form of "back 40 acres." A land owner or farmer who has developed part of their property (e.g. planted crops or use the land for cattle grazing) may refer to their undeveloped land as the "back X," where X is some number of acres. "40" has become the popular number to cite when using this expression.

Not depressing at all. I find it invigorating. I'll get more done in the next 6 weeks preparing for winter than I have all summer.
