Hey CD, Mark is making me a killer Ice Box and bringing me a cool blue hose for the black bucket! I can't wait to see it.

Well, 10 min drive to the activities, having a state police escort - think I'll just stay over at the dyno site and be the lone camper. I can drive back and forth anyway, w/o the trailer. If we get enough trucks Albuquerque could think there is some kind of Dodge invasion happening. Then there is the part about all the Dodge trucks that have been stolen, I could see the locals trying to pull some kind of 'invasion' checking out all our registrations and vins. Of course, that idea would have to come from someplace intelligent, nevermind.

Killer Ice Box, eh? Have to see what's different about them these days vrs mine. I have one of the first ones out, have a little hood interference-been there since day one of my install, messed up the paint on the lid some but I have just been living with it instead of trying to fix it.

I will have to corner him and see what his fix might be??? Might have been one back then, I just didn't persue it.

I like the cool blue hose, suprised he isn't bringing you a black one. My cool blue hose has been on the truck since '06, still looks new, great product. I guess when I change out all the other hoses to blue silicone when they need replacing they'll all match. WOW, imagine that, it could look like I had some kind of plan, imagine that!!!!!

Do you guys have any idea what time this event will be over? I'm only asking because I need to know if I should book 2 nights in the motel or just one. It's a 5-hour drive from Hobbs to Abq so if it's over late, we'll have to stay Saturday night too.

Wow, I just realized that the 16th is the same day as UNM's graduation. It may be hard to find a motel room.

You make a very good point about motel rooms being available or not.

last year we got done about 5ish. this year is going to be bigger so I am thinking we could be rolling a while longer.

Just got back from a meeting and Don Chalmers Ford to talk to the entire service and body shop guys about the event. there was a guy there smiling and said he would bring his relative that has some sort of a big hp ford truck. I am hoping to see some big HP #'s so lets kick their tails!

There will be a pre event party/BBQ in the RV parking area next to the event. I am in the process of fabbing up a 21"x48" griddle that slides into the receiver hitch of my truck so we can burn some meat. I am sure we can gather some funds and hit the local store for something to cook and drink. CD in NM came up today and we walked the lots and we are assembling a map for the layout of vendors and contestants. Will post the map when it is finalized.

OK Guys and Gals, time to make some serious plans to attend this event. Nice BIG area for RV's and such to park, usually the weather is great this time of year so even tents can be put up.

Friday night we'll be a partyin' and bbq'n gettin' ready for the Saturday events.

Chris and I had a GREAT visit with the dyno shop today. They are looking forward to the event. Local vendors and out of town vendors will have some PRIME space to set their stuff up. If you vendors get here early enough Friday afternoon, your stuff can be set up, it will be located in a locked lot at the dyno shop with an excellent security force keeping an eye.

I will plan to be there by Friday NOON, maybe a little earlier, but hopefull not later. My trip up today was slowed down a little by some unexpected road construction on US-380 between Carrizozo and I-25, but that stuff should be out of the way in a month hopefully. I-25 itself only has a short construction area right at the south end of Albuquerque, it moves pretty good speed wise.

I look forward to meeting everyone that attends, time to put a face, handshake, hug, whatever to the sigs.

03RAMBUNCTIOUS.

GLAD to hear other forums are showing some interest and considering attending. As I see it, THIS event is for a worthy cause that transcends to ALL of us diesel owners, regardless of websites and website clubs. I am hoping to see an overall general, cross the board representation from all the different forum groups. With the flyer/poster advertising that will be getting off the ground in the next few days to a week, this event can also be advertised to diesel communities at all their local parts distributors, dealerships, etc - which may bring in some more people who are not on the internet forums. The car/truck dealerships could also have some sales advantages, this may draw out some general public who are fence sitters considering buying a new/used truck, get to see some real numbers right off the dyno AND some other numbers on older trucks, win-win for the dealers at that point.

The more people we get to attend, the more people on the dyno, the more people just making a donation, all of that adds up to some good financials for those who will benefit from this event. WE ALL need to make a contribution to this worthy cause.
