New IP, New injectors, Now blue smoke at idle
In the last two weeks I installed a new injection pump from II and 5x.014 injectors from DAP. I had some difficulty during the initial install and had to pull the pump again. Motor was pulled to tdc, pump timed and then installed. Had a bad haze at idle after bleeding the injectors. I've advanced the timing all that is possible without skipping a tooth and still have a blue haze at idle. This was done to help with the haze and i felt top end was lacking power.
I spoke with Cody from II who first advised the smoke is unrelated to the injectors and i have a motor issue. The motor did not do this prior to injection pump and injector swap. The ksb does not have power to it. Im about to pull the injectors and put the stock ones back in and see if it still has this haze. Cody advised the hazing wouldn't be blue.
I've read numerous articles about haze and 5x.014s but don't know how much is to much and if this haze would be black or blue or red or purple. The motor seems to run fine with no miss and makes good power.
Any ideas or thoughts?

Compare your stock injector washers with the new ones.
If which more than likely they are different thicknesses
Use the old washers. on your old or new injectors.
Before you reuse them put them on a hot plate get them red let cool. they are now rebuilt almost good as new.
This can be done a few times but dont push it

Yes .
when I bought my injectors form DDP and used the thin washers the truck was only good for one thing mosguito repellant.
You could NOT back a trailer in all that haze.
Put the thick washers in no haze got the mosquito back plus gained 2 MPGs

How much timing were you running with them?
I forgot when those thin washers were on the EGTs were always High while pulling. Lost 200dgs easy with the thick washers.
Well i happen to have the a set of new thick washers. Got injectors in and truck cranked but I'm done for the night now. Don't think my neighbors care to much for running the truck at 11pm. Need to let it warm up and check the smoke situation.
WoW If I had known you had those spare new washers.
I would have told you change out 3 at a time 1,3,5 first start motor auto bleed them. 2,4,6 will carry the load It'll run ruff for a bit then clean up all by itself,
then do 2,4,6 start and drive.

I ran the motor for a couple minutes before pulling the injectors last night and when i pulled them i noticed 5 tips were wet and 1 was dry. Is that normal? Should they have all been wet out all been dry?
