Anyone with VP44 experience?

Well Saturday the truck died on me going down the road. Made sure I was getting fuel everywhere I needed. Pulled by codes and got P1688. Just wondering if anyone here has experience changing these things. Thanks

Thanks for all the help and support guys.................................glad to know there isn't anyone around here I can count on for any help hints. With that said I'm officially signing off of DTR and not returning. One thing I have learned from this though......there is more important things than our trucks....

It is sunday, I didn't even see your post when I rolled in the morning at about 7am after catching some poachers.

You can loosen the injectors lines(19mm, I usually do cylinders 1, 3,4)and see how much fuel comes out, if the pump is shot it will just be a little bit, it if the pump is still working there will be lots of fuel and it will be kinda foamy in my experience. If the pump is bad, they are not hard to change, and depending on where you buy from you get some good prices. If you buy through ebay using a bing.com account you get 8% back which will be about 80 bucks with the cost of the VP. IF you decide to do it your self you will notice there is a video on the site that shows how to do it. I have the procedure down to about an hour job. IF you have any questions shoot me a PM and I will give you my number. NO NEED FOR THE DRAMA

Waaaaaa....Waaaaaa...Waaaaaaa.... Geesh, use the search function and quit your whining for crying out loud. VP44 problems have been covered here over and over again, your fault if you do not avail yourself of the FREE info here.

I know you are frustrated because you are having problems with your truck, but blaming us for your troubles is entirely the WRONG way to deal with the issue.

People are ALWAYS willing to help out but EVERYBODY here also have business and family commitments to deal with on a daily basis. This means that you can not expect INSTANT help when you need it.

You should have shot me a PM Adam. I've been in school all weekend but could have gave a hand during the week. Just finished helping TigerRag last week change out a pump on his truck.

You know darn well I would have helped you. I might try turning down the sensitivity **** just a touch.

I saw the post, just have no VP44 knowledge, but would certainly give a hand. This is a good site with good people and sorry the truck is acting up.

I have been wanting to post this for a while now. First off I would like to apologize for my actions. The way I was raised is to not ask people for help, if people are willing offer their assistance take them up on it and the return the favor in exchange. To everyone one I had upset I'm sorry.

Speaking of which....I still got a 13mm GearWrench sitting on my desk. We should do lunch sometime once I can start eating solid food again, had my wisdom teeth cut out this past week. Yup, got her going, got everything for cost through my cousin at his dealership. I know I paid more than I should have but I needed the truck back because I was kind of crippled without it on the farm.

Well, we'll get together when your back on solid foods. I'm building a house right now, so I'm living down on High Rock. Should be moving into the new home off New Jersey Chruch Rd in a week or two if we can get some things straight with the builders and the loan finalized. So, I'm kinda busy for a bit myself. But I go by the farm and see your truck there all the time these days.

Good to have ya back, Adam. Glad you got the truck fixed. In the future please send myself of Brian Buchanan a pm and we'll do what we can to lend a hand. I drive a big rig now so am gone a lot but Brian is a great resource on the vp trucks. Of course, you'll have to buy the beer.

That won't be an issue. I've been of "AGE" for awhile now!

Actually been messing with the truck this afternoon. Replacing the cables and batteries. The places Dodge choose to locate the ground cables is just plain stupid in my opinion. Next thing I need to do is adjust the valves.
