Oh no charlie. Either your injection pump is dying, the injectors are coming apart, or your clutch is slipping. I'd hurry and change out all 3 before something happens. Glad to hear you like them. Your mileage might also thank you. I know mine sure isn't right now. I'm gonna go through and double check all the lines in mine today just to make sure.

And charlie, some of us have lives other than the DTR when they first wake up.

If we have as many people at your place next spring as we did in Waco yesterday, that ought to triple the population of "Sedalia".

Everything was healthy in my truck. I think it's all in your head. Your more paranoid about your truck than I am mine.

Paranoid......yes. In my head.....no.

I went out and checked and found the fourth line from the front a little loose. No sign of leaking fuel. Not much, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 turn. I'll know the next time I drive it if that was the problem.

First off............

BAAAAAHHHHAAAHAHAAHAHAA........i think i scared my dogs on that one!

Ehem......ok....Usally you will see some diesel leaking if its a bad miss....now that is not to say it could be leaking internaly where the tube meets the injector....but i work under the rule, better lil loose than tooo tight when dealing with injector lines....you can tigten them up...and diesel fumes are not deadly like Gas. SOOO....just drive it.....if it still happens....make a trip to Gainesville some weekend.......

O and by the way....this was the first full day of me driving my truck. The wheel Cyl upgrade for the rear drums....WELL WORTH THE $24.00 I SPENT! MAN! ALSO...i converted my AFE Stage II into a cowl induction intake....i drilled a hole like a Scotty and ran a piece of 4" i had between the fire wall and intake housing. Dang it if my truck doesnt have more snap! I think that made a BIG differance in the way it runs! BUT every one of yall with drum brakes that were there yesterday....need to do that wheel cyl if not done yet! Well worth it!

Thanks for the offer, Dan. I'll be driving it tomorrow and see how it does.

I've thought about doing the rear brake conversion. I'm at 170K or so, and the rear shoes don't look like hardly ever engage.

Rowland suggested I drill the 4" hole in my cowl to help the new Quad Air box get a little more cool air. Sounds like it may be a good idea.

Charlie,
Just a thought (one of the few and far between ones I get), did you try unplugging the EZ to see if the miss goes away?

Thanks Brian for the use of the shop, as usual. Someday I may even bring my own truck to work on it

Thanks RJ and Charlie for sending out the pics, but I won't be able to upload them to the North Texas/Waco site for a while (the PC I do it from went Tango Uniform on Saturday).
In the meantime, if someone on the mailing list wants to put captions on the injector ones from Charlie and send the captions to me (reference the picture number for each caption), I will add the captions to the site. If it were left to me, we would have a bunch of pics that all said "JB changing out Charlies injectors"

Thanks to TexasCTD for driving me down there

Good to see lots of new faces and old ones too (and you know I mean Charlie when I say old ones)

I hadn't thought of that, but will try it if the problem presists.
