We had a great time at Muncie also. It was great to see
alot of the "DTR Crew"again although I did not get to
meet "Don M" like I wanted to. We missed all of the
action at the Lee's Inn, but after last year Johnner and
I figured we had better keep a "low profile!" John's
new 04' Dodge CTD CR got second place in the "Show
and Shine" event and he got a really nice big trophy!
Unfortuately, my 02' did not win anything in that
event! I asked one of the officials with DHRA
why and here is what he said; "You have too much
chrome under your hood, the truck doesn't look
natural!" My thought was "WHAT????" Many
of you know how hard I work on that truck and my
96' to make them look nice and I have to tell you
that was disapponting! But, life goes on............

Tim, congratulations on your great H.P. number on
the dyno! Looks like those Mach 6's helped you alot.

joefarmer,
That was me. I lost in the finals by .05 but I was pretty pleased turning 12.36 in the quarter mile. Thunder in Muncie was great. It was really great meeting so many people. Can't wait until next year.

Good time here. Unfortunatly, I only met Joe Farmer, and that was at the gate of the campgrond. I was going to go meet him after the races but he must have went home that evening. I too wanted to meet more of the DTR guys, but didnt know anyone that I guess knew them too. Maybe next time...

I had a great time. We are all tired as can be, but it was worth the trip. I tried to meet as many people as I could but got pulled around a bit all weekend and helped a few guys get some troubles worked out on their trucks.

John, Keith told me where you guys were on Saturday afternooon, but by the time I got free everyone had left that area and was headed to watch the pulls I guess. I was in the parking lot Friday night, but way too tired to go Saturday night. I brought the boys with me and they were getting tired too.

Meach went all 4 rounds and just barely lost the finals to a Ford that runs in the 14's. Bracket racing.

Alot of the big Ford guys wernt there. There are many still bein built as we speak. Wish I could of had mine there but I probly would of broke it. Another truck with the same exact clutch as mine roasted it in the first 10' in the rookie class.

Even though the Ferds got there buts handed to them I had a great time! I rode there with a guy that ran a 13.7 in a reg cab 7.3, that thing is pretty fast. His cousin did a 12.9 with some nos in a Supercab 7.3. The Fords are gettin there, we have only figured out how to get the fuel in the last 8 months or so, so it wont be long till they start makin a good showing.

Thanks

I would just like to say what a good time I had this year and would like to think some folks for helping to fix my truck. Chris Strickland,"Snowman", Bill K of DTT,Cord,"Opie" and his dad. Thank goodness John"Snowman" had the part to fix my transmission.

Also thanks to Stefan K for laying down a couple of 12.80's et passes in my truck. Never would have thought a jacked up truck on 37" tires wold be that quick and still get 15.5 mpg on the trip up from Florida.

Ok...
Now I'll chime in here for ya John,LOL.
I am glad John Jr got some iron to take home ,but, maybe you were outshined by a second Flame Red Truck and I am not certain who the owner was,,,LOL.

Actually,as I said all day and still will now,I can not believe my 100,000 mile ride got any iron there.I thought for sure that the gizmos and gadgets on the other trucks would regin and win over my absolutely filthy dirty 98 Sport,LOL.I wasn't going to come out after some recent events in my life had made things a very difficult.Muncie was a well needed break and stress reliever.I was glad to see ya there and hope to see the old truck again when its done.Let me know and I'll send you some of my magic wax so you can make her shine for Scheids.

One thing I do need to say is this...
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Rammin On and his wife Lisa from me.They were the inspiration for me changing my decision to go to TiM and the ones who convinced me to shine up for the show.Life Is Good Keith, your are very right on that......Andy

My congratulations to you and Johnner on being
winners in the "Show-n-Shine!" You have a nice
looking truck, even if it was dirty! Mine had
too much chrome!
