So cal DTR meet and eat and greet...

Ok, seeing as how I managed to get off my lazy butt and get a so cal chapter of DTR started, I figured I would start up something.. Its not much, but I figured it would give us all a chance to meet other DTR guys in the area, and give the so cal guys a chance to join up with the so cal chapter. Im thinking a meet and greet and eat somewhere in central so cal. Im not adverse to driving, as I know my home town, up here in the boonies aint exactly driver friendly for most. I was thinking about doing a meet and greet at the Rocky Cola Cafe in Temecula sometime in the very near future, more than likely a lunch thing on a saturday or sunday. Just gauging interest for now, to see how many people we'd have that would like to go.

For the record, I will bring Chapter application/membership forms with me for anyone who wants to join. I don't discriminate on year of truck.. I like them all.. ok.. Let me know who's interested, and we'll get the ball rollin.

Meet and eat and greet

I am not yet a Dodge Cummins owner but I am planning on purchasing soon. I have been reading the various message forums, this one included, to learn about these trucks as well as the Ford and Chevy forums. I have many questions to ask! Don't worry, I want a Dodge. Anyway, I would like to attend an event such as this, even if it occurs before my purchase. Selfishly speaking, Temecula would be great- I live there! Count me in and I will come as long as I have the day off. JIM FORREST

Jim,
Temecula is just a speculation at this point, but you're more than welcome to join us.. even if you were to buy a truck from the "dark side" instead of buying a cummins, Id still let ya in I will keep everyone posted, as I work something out.

Im certain Scott will bring you right in and make you feel welcome with what ever you end up with.

Sounds like fun. I vote for Ventura County somewhere. Certainly would be cooler weather and the traffic less (maybe).

Dusty,
Ventura county would work for me too.. Ive got a couple guys from the pismo area interested in coming down, and at least one of them says he will make the drive. I will do some research in that area as well.

Ok Guys, Im thinking in Ventura County. How's this sound:

Anacapa Brewery on July 10th at 4pm for a late lunch/early dinner.. look over everyones trucks and such?
www.anacapabrewing.com is thier website, and it has thier menu... anyone who thinks they will be there, let me know so I can get a head count.

Ok, so I was informed by my better half we have wedding stuff to do that weekend, so the 10th is out. Let me check my schedule again later today to see what weekend I have free. If anyone has any ideas for weekends, give it a shot, and I'll see what I can do.

Upon talking to DustyRock, He says that parking at the anacapa brewery is close to none, so there's not a point in having a bunch of full size trucks out that way Now we are discussing meeting at the pier in ventura, and going to Eric Erriccsons for dinner/drink after a truck perusal/BS session.. who else thinks this is a great idea??

Id rather do a Saturday too.. I don't usually have saturdays off, but seeing as how I make the schedule, I can work something out.. Id rather do a saturday too, and stay overnight up there somewhere, then drive back sunday mid morning.
