I was wondering if anyone had any more details on this event in August. I need directions to where it's being held (I'll be coming up 41 N from Vincennes, IN), costs to get in (Not pulling or entering a truck in the show and shine), etc. I emailed Scheid a few months back and never got a reply from them.

 

August 27,28,29. At the fairgrounds.
Gates open at 9 am.
I come in from Illinois and take exit 7 from I 70, then south about a mile. It is on the right.

 

So it IS south of town, huh? I thought I remembered seeing it up there when I used to run to the aluminum manufacturing facility north of town (ain't truck driving fun!?!)

J-fox, where 'bouts you from? I'm about 9 miles north of Mt. Carmel, or 30 miles N of I-64 on IL HWY1.

I hope to be attending this event. Does anyone have info on campgrounds where the other Diesel Heads will be staying?? Things did not work out for us to take a trip to T.I.M. this year.

I was going to paste the link from the website, but right now the Scheid website is not coming up for me. When I reserved my hotel room there was also information for campgrounds and such. If I can get the website to come up in the near future I will post just the campground info, the website I am using is www.scheiddiesel.com

Don't know about campgrounds around Terra Haute but have a spot here at the farm (45 miles to event) with water and elec and a dump site (not at camp spot). There is also a campground 4 miles east of us called Hickory Holler (618-563-4779) but I doubt any "Diesel Heads" will be staying there.
